GapDossier turns citations into research opportunities. This page shows the real workflow in plain language, then lets you try it with one clearly labelled sample paper. Everything in the walkthrough stays in your browser and is never mixed with a real analysis.

  1. 1. Find the paper. A DOI, PMID, PMCID, or OpenAlex Work ID names the publication you want to start from.
  2. 2. Confirm the paper. GapDossier shows the publication details it matched, and you confirm it is the right one.
  3. 3. Retrieve the citations. GapDossier collects the later work that cites the paper and reports progress as it goes.
  4. 4. Review the evidence. Read the citation context and compare what different sources say.
